Ryanindaswamp / Man In Da Street

Saturday Back To Bidnizz

It is safe to say that I am over my
TPD rage.
It Be What It Be.

Now.
Time to get To Work.

"What Kind Of Work Is That Mr. Swamp"?

"Glad You Asked Slappy"?

Having spent a virtual life time caught up
In the world of business I developed seemingly
Mad skills in both launching successful business'
Of my own as well Employed as V.P. Of Marketing
For Both Fortune 100 and Fortune 200 Corporations.

In those settings said Corporations at that particular
Time in Space occupied Global Footprints
Of 4 Million to 11 Million.

I personally launched 3 business' of my
Own.
All very successful

The first business dealt in the selling and
Buying of Vintage Sport and Race Cars.
Car's had been a life long for me.
I remember driving with the family from
As early as 5 years old calling out the year
And makes of automobiles and trucks we passed
On the road.

Somehow
I always ended up in some crazy environment
With many old cars.
Especially in Europe.

Car's like 1925 Alfa Romeo'
To Formula Race Cars both Vintage
And Newer.

That business really took off in 1987
When I met a Gentleman from Wiesbaden
Germany who at that time was a General
Manager for a Miami, Florida Vintage Race
And Sports Car dealer.

I started by brokering him cars.
As well working out of my Miami bedroom I
Also serviced my own customers worldwide.
Some pretty famous names actually.

Through a connection of my Wiesbaden friend
At the time
The 5th Oldest
And
Wealthiest Swedish Family
Fronted the millions that were required in
The purchase of an old Pontiac dealer on the
Corner of Santa Monica and Comstock in West
Los Angeles just right outside of Century City.

We both banked un real Bukoo Stacks for 3 years.
Just sick mad money every week.
$50k on up.

The lowest price car in our showroom
At that time
Sitting on Black Granite Marble Floors
Was a Ferrari 275 GTB.
For the low low price of only
$1.8 Million You Owned That Girl.

1975 Ferrari GTB

The success of that en-devour was the personal touch.
We accomplished this by the means of the telephone.
no internet back then.
A side note.

We were actually the very first people in Los Angeles
At that time who possessed a very large color copy machine.
this thing was off the wire.
Best copies of everything.

I was manning the store while my partner was off
Representing us at The Monterrey Car Show and
Vintage Races.
I can honestly state that back then we were pretty
Much in contact with a new start up company.
That company is Barret-Jackson Auctions.

I'm in my office.
I had just completed the sale of a 1970
Formula Race Car Engine. I was following up
With paper work.

My office was sunken into like another sub floor.
I see action approaching the entrance door of the
Showroom.

To gain entrance into our showroom
One had to ring a bell.

But Oh The Fuck No.
Not That Day.

The U.S. Treasury
The ATF
The FBI
And Some Other
Federal Agency
Literally Kick In The Steel Frame Doors.

Unbeknownst to both myself and my partner.
The Lot Manager who controlled the two Lot Boys
As well over saw any repairs to be made on the car's.
Had seemingly mastered the Space Age Copy machine
To the point of cranking out Hundred Dollar Bills.
As it turned out a Virtual Shit Load of these Phony
Franklin s.

After the Fed's made their exit along with
Lot Manager and one Space Age Very Expensive
Copy Machine.
I pored myself a real stiff Whiskey.
Actually 3.
That was quite an interesting day.
After 3 years i sold my interest to another
Vintage Sport and Race Car Dealer In L.A.

But again that business was grown by personal interaction
And Connection with both buyers and sellers.

My next business was in Miami, Florida.
I believe if not the first at least one of the
First Mobile Detail Companies.

That business grew exponentially.
The method was simple.
Fliers.
I designed as well distributed literally 10's
Of Thousands of fliers.
I sold that business after two years to one of my
Employees.

The second business I started with basically
No capital was an Import/Wholesale Fresh
Flower Distributor.
After a few years I added on a wholesale
Vitamin and Supplement Company.

I promoted both of these business' through
Flier Distribution.

Fliers put one's business directly in front
Of a Customer Base.
It all breaks down to numbers.

100 fliers.
10 calls.
4 to 5 appointments.

Simple Math

The following is a job

Lady Here in Town.
